Curtain up on a long-awaited return to the spotlight! Schola’s Broadway Revival brings back a beloved tradition we haven’t staged since the BC years (Before COVID), revived with fresh energy and plenty of Golden Age glamour.
Led by our own Associate Artistic Director and queen of the keys, Dawn Reyen, this family-friendly singalong celebrates the composers who defined Broadway’s most beloved era. We’re talking Rodgers & Hammerstein at their finest—from climbing every mountain in The Sound of Music to getting to know all about you in The King and I, from the surrey with the fringe on top in Oklahoma! to the impossibly romantic South Pacific. Plus other golden age gems that made Broadway the behemoth we know and love today.
This isn’t a stuffy recital—it’s a full-on singalong where you’re the star. Audience requests are absolutely welcome, so bring your favorite classics and your biggest Broadway voice. Whether you’re ready to wash that man right out of your hair, convince us that June is bustin’ out all over, or belt out your favorite dream ballet, this is your moment in the spotlight.
Expect soaring ballads, clever lyrics that actually rhyme, strategic snack breaks, and an encore that’ll have the whole house harmonizing. So grab your friends, bring the family, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready to prove that some enchanted evening, you really can hear someone singing across a crowded room.
